Leather Motorcycle Gloves

How or wleather motorcyle jackethy are leather gloves an important safety element?  If you’ve ever laid a bike down or seen someone lay one down you would know the answer. The hands as well as other parts of the body are going to get road rash. Remember back when you were a kid on a bicycle the outcome of taking a spill on the blacktop or for that matter gravel the outcome usually wasn’t pretty.

Leather gloves can be hot to wear on hot summer days but the protection offered is worth the discomfort. They come in many styles to add comfort and safety. The gloves along with a Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket can save allot of road rash when someone cuts you off or turns in front of you and there is nowhere to go and the bike goes down taking you with it. At this point you are grateful for any safety gear you are wearing. Ride Safe and Enjoy!!!!!

With the onseleather motorcycle jacketst of warmer weather I’m seeing less and less clothing on motorcycle riders. Wow!!! just not a good idea guess most all of them of never had the misfortune of laying a bike down or been involved in a motorcycle accident. Its unfortunate and I’m at a loss of how how to convey to them how important proper dress is when riding motorcycle.

The key safety ingredients for riding are: a DOT approved helmet, a good quality Leather Motorcycle Jacket, or long sleeve shirt, depending the type of riding, heavy denim jeans with chaps depending on the elements or the degree of protection desired, a good pair of leather motorcycle riding gloves and last but not least a good pair of over the ankle boots.

As always with motorcycle riding make yourself visible wear bright colored clothing, stay out of blind spots and ride defensively. If you haven’t done so and one is available in your area take a approved motorcycle riders course the knowledge acquired is priceless. Ride safe!!!!!!!

Well the rleather motorcycle jacketain has come and I’m sure at some point we’re all gonna get caught on our motorcycles in a rain storm. It is very important to remember a few safety tips when riding in the rain. One is slow down, wear bright clothing and make yourself visible and wear proper rain gear.

There are many different styles and brands of rain gear on the market  I’m sure they are all good and offer protection for the rider. When I was shopping for my rain gear I tried on several brands and  styles. I chose a style that had zippered leg openings so that I could get my feet in the pants without removing my shoes. A big factor if you’re in the middle of nowhere trying to get them on and it’s raining or close to raining . Speed in getting rain gear on can be a high priority I’m talking from experience  and it also provides protection for your Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket and chaps. Rain gear is available for foot and hand protection also as soggy feet aren’t desirable and rain hitting your hands at 65 or even 55 hurts. Face and eye protection is also important a full face helmet with good ventilation is probably the best. The most important thing is slow down and be visible!!!!

Like all leather biker apparel their is a reason besides looking cool for wearing leather. The Leather Motorcycle Jacket for bikers is designed with safety in mind. The jacket will have reinforced elbows padded shoulders and lots of secure pockets so stored necessities wont be lost.

Next to the Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket Leather as safety equipmentthe Leather motorcycle boots are the most important item of safety equipment. Riding boots come in several styles and types. Some have steel reinforcing others are just good quality leather. Most all that I have seen are over the ankle and I prefer a lace up boot for the extra ankle support. For safety sake always wear good footwear for the protection it provides. Tennis shoes or thongs or sandals or any open shoes are not proper motorcycle attire. Women and young ladies a halter top and shorts and sandals which I see real regularly just isn’t safe riding attire and if you think it is slide down the pavement sometime and come back to me and tell me what you think of your safety attire. That’s all for now ride safe and enjoy!!!!!!!!

In the early days of motorcycling there wasn’t a big need for motorcycle helmet. There wasn’t allot of speed in early motorcycles but as they become more popular like anything else motorcyclists wanted more speed. Along with speed came more accidents and fatalities thus laws requiring helmets.

In 1953 a professor from the university of southern California designed the first helmet as Harley Davidson and Indian were manufacturing motorcycles with more speed. In 1958 California Highway Patrol officers began wearing helmets as an example hoping other riders would follow. In 1966 the Highway Safety Act was passed and this required motorcyclists to wear helmets. A provision of the law was that in order for states to receive funding for highways the requirement of  the helmet law had to be instituted. 47  states had instituted the law by 1975 when the in the same year the law was repealed and fatality rates increased.

Studies have shown that head injuries are the number one cause of motorcycle fatalities. This is the reason that I as an avid motorcycle rider wear a Helmet as  I have laid bikes down and have proof  that helmets do help prevent head injuries. All motorcycle apparel such as a Black Leather Motorcycle Jacketleather motorcycle apparel, chaps, leather gloves and a helmet all make the safety of the rider increase. As with anything these accessories won’t prevent all injuries but they will help. So happy motoring and ride safe!!!!!

A couple of bad motorcycle accidents were reported and bikes and bikers galore. It was a gorgeous day other than high wind conditions making it a little challenging at times.

At various stops their were bikers of all shapes and sizes , from all walks of life, young and old, men in their Mens Leather Motorcycle Jackets and women in their Womens Leather Motorcycle Jackets. Everyone seemed to be having a good time browsing the shops and sampling food. There was much camaraderie amongst friends and new friends made. Be safe and keep riding!!!!!!!!!

The Comfort Of Leather Jackets

Well the time black leather motorcycle jacketsfinally arrived  for me I got permission from my doctor to take a short ride on my motorcycle. Its been 10 m0nths now and with all the good weather and warm days the itch has been overwhelming. The flood run ride was this weekend so bikes were everywhere. As always there were reports of accidents and one fatality with high wind assumed to be a factor in the crash.

It wasn’t the thrill I was expecting as my bike had been sitting since last June and had to be serviced. Well I began that task and I encountered a small problem I broke a valve stem off and can’t find a replacement. I finally found a shop open on Saturday and was able to fix the problem and install a new tire put it back on the bike and  now I’m ready to ride.

I put on my Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket my leather boots my helmet and now I’m ready to ride. What a wonderful feeling! I remembered real fast why I have such a passion for riding motorcycle. My riding gear gives me a feeling of security but I also am aware of the environment I am in and adjust my riding habits accordingly. Didn’t make the flood run but was able to take a short ride and made all things ok. Ride safe and enjoy!!!

Why Wear A Leather Jacket

Well spleather biker jacketsring is here the April showers have finally arrived with much needed rain and thunder and lightning to shake the ground up and get rid of the frost. The heavy rains also wash the sand off the roads making them a little safer to ride.

With spring here one of the first big local rides will take place this weekend. It’s called the flood run and people descend along the mighty Mississippi river for a weekend of fun. There are shops set up in various villages and towns along the river displaying there Black Leather Motorcycle Jackets, vests, hats, gloves, chaps, skull caps and just about anything an avid motorcycle rider might need for the upcoming season. Its a fun ride and a fun day for all involved kind of the kick off of the riding season in these parts you might say.

Leather motorcycle jackets are a crucial part of riding gear as they offer protection from many elements such as rain, sand, sun, wind and the biggest of all that infamous road rash. Road rash is the biggest reason I personally wear my leather jacket. Its unpleasant and if you’ve ever laid a bike down you appreciate all the protection you can get. So wear your leather and ride safe and enjoy the riding season!

Well we went to Mblack leather motorcycle jacketsilwaukee on Sunday for our annual H.O.G. trip to the Harley Museum. As usual it was an enlightening experience. We were blessed with a wonderful tour guide who did a wonderful job of explaining her job as well as how different bikes and artifacts were received by the museum.

Touring the museum showed and enlightened us on how leather and leather accessories played a major part with motorcycles. Black Leather Motorcycle Jackets were a part of motorcycling even in the early days. My view of  leather jackets and motorcycling or leather accessories for that matter seem to have become more dominant during wartime. Especially the bomber jacket and this style jacket has always stood out as a style of choice amongst bikers. If you have a chance and haven’t been to the museum let your bike take control and make the museum a must see.  Ride Safe and Enjoy!
