Assesing The Quality of Leather Jackets
As I have stated before leather thickness is of great concern when looking at purchasing a jacket. Other aspects have to be taken into consideration also such as how well the leather jacket is stitched and how it is stitched. If the stitches are long uneven or show evidence of dropped stitches the quality is poor. Remember how the Ladies Biker Jacket
is assembled determines how much protection it provides for you the biker.
You should check to make sure no glues or adhesives are being used in the production process. I don’t think there’s an adhesive or glue made that will survive a road impact. The size and spacing of the stitching determines the strength of the seam also whether its a single or double or even triple stitched. how protective patches are attached to the garment is also important. Look to see if the protection is attached to itself as well as the leather jacket so that it stays in place in an accident. Always remember the more stitches the more strength it will add to the leather jacket thus the more protection.
To sum it all up look tor size and quallity of stitching whether glue or adhesive is present as this takes away from the quality of the jacket. Look for single or double stitching at stress points or areas of reinforcement or protective armour. Remember if your biker jacket falls apart in a crash your protection is gone !
Purchasing Leather Biker jackets
Okay so the hard part is done you’ve shopped, found and purchased your bike. So now you’re ready to ride you think but there are still some major purchases that need to be considered if you haven’t already done so. A Leather Biker Jacket
, chaps, leather gloves and in my opinion a good high quality helmet. All of these items in the interest of the riders comfort and safety.
When purchasing a Leather Jacket or any leather accessory for that matter one of the first things to consider is the quality and thickness of the leather. When looking for Leather apparel the thickness is of great importance it should be at least 1.2mm for utmost protection. There are several types of leather available with buffalo and cowhide being the most common. The thicker leather makes for a more durable jacket and offers much more protection in case of an accident or spill.
When choosing your apparel it is important to consider the features built into the article of clothing . Pockets are a high priority for me. The size and location are important and also if they are zippered or not. A person doesn’t want to loose important or valuable merchandise. The quality of the hardware used to manufacture the jacket is an important consideration also failure of a zipper or snaps on your purchase the first time out wouldn’t make you a happy camper. Pay close attention to the quality and features built into the apparel you purchase so you can ride with confidence and enjoy your riding experiences.
Benefits of Vented Leather Jackets
Since most of our riding takes place during the warmer months of the year our jackets aren’t just for protection from an accident. They offer us protection from the sun, wind, rain and also dehydration. this is hampered if the jacket isn’t vented to allow air flow to keep us cool. As we all know we have a tendency not to wear our jackets if it gets to hot however if our jacket is well vented it is a pleasure to wear.
My first long trip across the plains in the Dakotas and Nebraska was a real eye opener. Not one to ask allot of questions left home dressed in a t shirt and blue jeans. Not prepared for what I would experience in the next couple of days on the road. Its amazing how dehydrated a person can get while riding as you’re unaware of how much body fluid is lost due to the heat and wind. Sun and wind burn are also a concern. A good high quality vented Men’s Leather Motorcycle Jacket
helps with all of these confrontations. Just a word to the wise if you’re going on a long motorcycle trip make sure you talk to a seasoned rider and ask for advice on the does and don’ts of long days on the road. Make the experience one that is unforgettable.

Black leather seems to be the color of choice for motorcycle riders but ther has become many more colors and styles to choose from.
Leather accesories can compliment any wardrobe and add style, appeal and classy looks. Leather can be a bit pricey but its durability and good looks often outweigh the cost. Leather is easy to make look good and stylish and gives alot of protection from the elements.

It just is’nt the same anymore times have changed in almost everything we do. Look around women have found a place in almost all environments including the once male only sport of motorcycle riding. This has opened new fashion lines as motorcycle gear in days gone by was designed for men. Manufacturers have picked up on this and designed entire product lines around the woman rider.

Look around at motorcycle events and at the bike shops the options are almost endless for women’s apparel these days. Saddle Up and Ride in Any Season
While deep snow and glare ice will obviously render your bike useless during the winter months, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy an offseason ride when conditions allow. It goes without saying that you’ll need to bundle up during the cold months when the wind pierces through average, everyday riding apparel. Everyone knows that leather motorcycle jackets are essential, but gloves are a must too, as your grip can suffer slightly in the cold. Frostbitten fingers just aren’t an option when you’re trying to concentrate on the road.
But the essentials of cold-weather riding are not limited to winter motorcycle riding apparel alone. It’s never smart to ride in a snowstorm, but if the wind begins to swirl and snow blows over the road, you can’t risk being obscured from other drivers’ view. High-powered headlights and tail lights are essential in any season, but they are especially useful when winter rolls around.
A Beginners Guide For Women Riders
The first question that always comes to mind in any new adventure is where do I start. Since women are so different than men it might help to find a women mentor who has allot of riding experience. Women tend to be more supportive of one another than men do. Don’t let anyone be vague or sugar coat what riding is all about.
I’m gonna give you some basic starters and you can expand on them from hear. Number one you need to buy or borrow a bike to practice on. Preferably something smaller, easy to handle and easy to start. Know how and where all the controls are and become real familiar with them before attempting to ride. Make sure the bike is insured just in case. Number two make sure you have safety gear. This should consist of a DOT approved helmet, a Womens Leather Motorcycle Jacket
that fits properly, a good pair of leather boots that cover the ankles and provide good traction and finally a pair of leather gloves. Third you should find a good source of instruction. This could come from the motorcycle safety foundation or a trusted friend or spouse . Make sure whomever you choose is very supportive and knowledgeable. Remember you dont want to learn bad habits. Fourth you need a place to practice both before and after you get your liscense. Preferably a big open paved parking lot. Practice the maneuvers you were taught do it in a practice area where you’re safe from the elements that others throw at you on the open road. Be comfortable with your bike and your ability as a rider when you hit the road. And fifth but probably most important you need support and encouragement. Find someone who is supportive and that will give good strong safe advice. Someone that will find the right answers to your questions if they don’t know the answers.
Thats it in a nutshell, take it, research it, implement it, be strong and have faith in yourself. Take your time learning and your riding experiences will be truly life changing.
