Cleaning And Polishing Your Bike
Well if you
get started now if you’re like me you might be done by spring. There are so many things to do and clean. Things to take off and clean and find a safe place to put them till it’s time to put them back on the bike. I’ve learned the hard way and had pieces fall and either get broke or scratched so it’s better to find a good place to store them till you’re ready to put them back on.
Again like when you cleaned your Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket use mild soap and water to give the bike a thorough cleaning. Again after you have all the pieces removed that can be for cleaning give them and rest of the bike another good wash down. Now it’s time to give each of them items you removed a good cleaning and waxing. Use a soft toothbrush and I’ve found microfiber or cotton cloths to work the best for polishing and getting into tight spots. Be meticulous and get into all those little nooks and crannies you’ll be glad when the project is finished and you stand back and admire it. It also makes the cleaning go so much better the rest of the season. Good luck and happy polishing.
Cleaning Your Wheels And Tires
Well we go
t the bike out and now we have to look at all the dirt and grime we missed last fall. When we look close we see all the nooks and crannies we missed last season. Those wheels have allot of crud on them and the tires look nasty.
So I quess the first step would be to scrub the wheels and tires with a mild soap and warm water just as we did our Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket to remove as much crud as possible. Next we need to get all the tar that has accumulated on the wheels removed. There are several good tar removers available at your local automotive store or the local hardware store. After all the residue and crud has been removed a good coat of wax should be applied to the wheels and a good tire brightener applied. That’s all for now .
Checking Your Bike After Storage
Well it’s getting t
o be that time of year when we start thinking about the next riding season and what needs to be done to get everything ready. Wev’e talked about getting our riding gear and our Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket out and ready for the upcoming season and making sure it all fits.
Well where do ya start? I guess we can start with checking tire pressures, oil change and checking out the air pressure in the shocks. We should check the battery connections if we left the battery in the bike over winter or put it back in the bike if taken out for the winter. We should check the bike over for any thing that has come loose over the previous seasons riding. That’s all for now.
Leather Cleaning
We choose l
eather for different reasons for some it’s for the look and elegance for others it’s for it’s durability and the safety it provides. Whatever the reason for purchasing may be we usually have a substantial investment in our leather garments. Therefore it is important to know how to take care of these garments.
Most garments have a tag on them someplace explaining the care and proper cleaning procedures to use. There are different types of leather usually classified as either finished or unfinished. Saddles and Baseball gloves would be examples of unfinished leather. It is very important to use proper cleaners and test them in an place that isn’t seen to make sure it’s compatible with the dyes and finish used on the garment. A mild moisturizing soap works well for removing spots and stains. The soap should be worked into a lather and avoid liquid saturation of the leather.
A good moisturizing conditioner should be applied to the Ladies Leather Motorcycle Jacket and allowed to be absorbed before buffing the Leather product to a lustrous shine. Research show that linseed oil is a good product for treating and cleaning leather goods. Avoid smoke and sunshine whenever possible as they are very harmful to leather. Remember it’s easier to maintain your leather than to repair or the high cost of replacement.
Protecting Your Investment
Leather motorcycle jackets require a considerable initial investment, but if they properly taken care of, leather jackets can last for decades. As you are probably aware, leather requires special care and attention. While this may seem like a hassle, it is worth it to keep your jacket looking great and prolong its life.
The type of leather your product is made of will determine the proper care techniques. The three most common types are: top grained, aniline and semi-aniline. Virtually all jackets, and other goods for that matter, are made from top grain leather, which is convenient, because it also happens to be the easiest to maintain.
Getting Ready For Spring Riding
Well everyone spring is fast approaching and if you’re like me you’re anticipating the upcoming riding season. So I hope you stored your bike away properly to minimize what has to be done for the new riding season. This may take a few posts as I’m gonna go over things as I do them when getting things out of storage and take care of them and prepare them for the upcoming season.
First off I
‘m gonna take care of some of my accessories and make sure they are ready for the new season they are all in the house so I can take care of them now. First off I’m gonna wash and clean my rain suit and try it on to make sure everything still works right and most importantly to make sure it still fits as it seems I always seem to grow a little over winter I don’t know about you. Next I’m gonna get my Black Leather Motorcycle Jacketout and make sure it still fits and give it a thorough cleaning with a good leather cleaner and treat it with a good preservative and waterproofer. Then I guess I’ll check out my leather chaps, again I’m gonna check to make sure they fit and give them a good cleaning and leather treatment. That should hold ya for awhile still lots of things to look at before the season begins so start thinking about them now spring isn’t that far away.
Mr. Right
Ladies, I want to let you in on a little secret. When I was younger I often found myself in a dating slump. Either the guys I went out with were losers, or they were just plain old mean! But a few years ago I met Mr. Right. It was a cold winter night, and I had almost decided to stay home for the night when my girlfriend called and invited me to get a beer at the local biker bar.
There, my friends, is where I met the man of my dreams. He was standing in a dark corner, wearing a men’s leather motorcycle jacket. He had blond hair and blue eyes – and he was tall, real tall, in fact. We made eye contact, he bought me a beer, and we ended up chatting for hours. We have been together ever since.
Choosing A motorcycle Jacket
Many riders choose their new motorcycle jacket on looks alone. Don’t make that mistake asit will be a decision you will regret. The jacket will provide protection from several elements when riding your motorcycle.
One of the major elements to consider when choosing a Womens Leather Motorcycle Jacket
is comfort for the long haul. It’s also important that the jacket provides plenty of ventilation for those hot summer days. The ventilation should be provided by zippered vents so that they can be closed when warmth is needed. The jacket should be waterproof as you will want protection in case of rain. It should also have reflective material to provide added visibility. Whatever can be done to increase your visibility while riding increases your margins of safety. Another important factor is the material the jacket is made of one should choose a material such as leather which is very durable in case of an accident. Hope these tips help you have an enjoyable riding experience.
Three Wheelers And Trikes
Three wheelers or trikes what do ya think of? For me I think of when I was a kid and had a tricycle because it was stable and didn’t tip over so easy. I remember I couldn’t wait till I could graduate to a bicycle like the big people. Nowadays when I look around a three wheeler or trike is a new form of motorcycle.
There are several reasons why the trike has become so popular amongst bikers. One reason is the stability of the unit. For an older rider or for someone with disabilities it gives some alternatives to the standard motorcycle and still have the feel of a motorcycle. Another advantage is the ability to have more storage to provide room for the storage of your Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket
, chaps, rain suit and all your other gear needed for them long trips. It also gives the rider the ability to pull a trailer with more stability thus being safer. It provides for better and safer passenger options thus making passengers more comfortable with their riding experience. With the motorcycle manufacturers seeing it as an opportunity to sell a new product they have come up with some new choices and innovations in three wheelers or trikes. Now it’s alright or cool to ride a trike.
