Rain Gear For Leather Protection
Well the r
ain has come and I’m sure at some point we’re all gonna get caught on our motorcycles in a rain storm. It is very important to remember a few safety tips when riding in the rain. One is slow down, wear bright clothing and make yourself visible and wear proper rain gear.
There are many different styles and brands of rain gear on the market I’m sure they are all good and offer protection for the rider. When I was shopping for my rain gear I tried on several brands and styles. I chose a style that had zippered leg openings so that I could get my feet in the pants without removing my shoes. A big factor if you’re in the middle of nowhere trying to get them on and it’s raining or close to raining . Speed in getting rain gear on can be a high priority I’m talking from experience and it also provides protection for your Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket and chaps. Rain gear is available for foot and hand protection also as soggy feet aren’t desirable and rain hitting your hands at 65 or even 55 hurts. Face and eye protection is also important a full face helmet with good ventilation is probably the best. The most important thing is slow down and be visible!!!!
Leather Boots An Essential Piece Of Safety Apparel
Like all leather biker apparel their is a reason besides looking cool for wearing leather. The Leather Motorcycle Jacket for bikers is designed with safety in mind. The jacket will have reinforced elbows padded shoulders and lots of secure pockets so stored necessities wont be lost.
Next to the Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket
the Leather motorcycle boots are the most important item of safety equipment. Riding boots come in several styles and types. Some have steel reinforcing others are just good quality leather. Most all that I have seen are over the ankle and I prefer a lace up boot for the extra ankle support. For safety sake always wear good footwear for the protection it provides. Tennis shoes or thongs or sandals or any open shoes are not proper motorcycle attire. Women and young ladies a halter top and shorts and sandals which I see real regularly just isn’t safe riding attire and if you think it is slide down the pavement sometime and come back to me and tell me what you think of your safety attire. That’s all for now ride safe and enjoy!!!!!!!!
The History Of Motorcycle Helmets
In the early days of motorcycling there wasn’t a big need for motorcycle helmet. There wasn’t allot of speed in early motorcycles but as they become more popular like anything else motorcyclists wanted more speed. Along with speed came more accidents and fatalities thus laws requiring helmets.
In 1953 a professor from the university of southern California designed the first helmet as Harley Davidson and Indian were manufacturing motorcycles with more speed. In 1958 California Highway Patrol officers began wearing helmets as an example hoping other riders would follow. In 1966 the Highway Safety Act was passed and this required motorcyclists to wear helmets. A provision of the law was that in order for states to receive funding for highways the requirement of the helmet law had to be instituted. 47 states had instituted the law by 1975 when the in the same year the law was repealed and fatality rates increased.
Studies have shown that head injuries are the number one cause of motorcycle fatalities. This is the reason that I as an avid motorcycle rider wear a Helmet as I have laid bikes down and have proof that helmets do help prevent head injuries. All motorcycle apparel such as a Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket
, chaps, leather gloves and a helmet all make the safety of the rider increase. As with anything these accessories won’t prevent all injuries but they will help. So happy motoring and ride safe!!!!!
Stay Stylish With Leather Motorcycle Clothing
Well we are
riding our motorcycles now and there is still allot of sand and debree on the back roads yet. If riding the back roads like I like to there should be extra precautions taken. You should ride with all the protection possible.
My number one source of protection is my helmet and this is a controversial issue but is up to the individual rider. The helmet should fit properly and be comfortable making it more desirable to wear. A good quality Black Leather Motorcycle Jacketshould always be worn. The protection a good leather jacket provides is unbelievable if you should happen to take a spill. A good pair of chaps aaor at the least a good pair of blue jeans. Last but not least a good pair of leather boots that are over the ankle . All of this gear is for protection and for your safety in the case of an accident. Ride safe and enjoy!!!!
Mens Motorcycle Leather
With the motorc
ycle riding season upon us its time to remember the clothing that we didn’ have for last years riding season. With early spring riding there are allot of cool nights and I mean really cool nights ndearly mornings with frost on the ground. So its important to dress in layers with plenty of clothes that can be peeled off as the day progresses.
There are some really cool Mens Black Leather Motorcycle Jackets out there today with removable liners made of thinsulate that can be easily installed or removed. There are some really comfortable leather gloves that are lite and insulated. It is nice this time of year to have some type of baggage on your bike to carry these accessories just o make dressing comfortably a choice. Till next ride safe and enjoy!!!
Womens Jackets Practical And Fashionable
When it comes to motorcycle riding one of the major components is what you look like. Leather isn’t
usually the garment of choice for everyday attire unless your motorcycle is involved. For many bikers a major part of motorcycling is dressing the part.
When it comes to a Womens Leather Motorcycle Jacket the same safety and comfort features are generally incorporated into garment. Women have more design and color choices than men thus making there visibility higher. They are more form fitting and usually not a small, medium or large choice. They have elastic in the waist or a belt incrporated into the jacket to help prevent it from riding up the torso. Ride safe and enjoy!!!!!!
Bikers In Leather Motorcycle Jackets
Well the yearly flood run has come and gone. Must have been a good year only heard of a couple incidents and confrontations. A couple of bad motorcycle accidents were reported and bikes and bikers galore. It was a gorgeous day other than high wind conditions making it a little challenging at times.
At various stops their were bikers of all shapes and sizes , from all walks of life, young and old, men in their Mens Leather Motorcycle Jackets and women in their Womens Leather Motorcycle Jackets. Everyone seemed to be having a good time browsing the shops and sampling food. There was much camaraderie amongst friends and new friends made. Be safe and keep riding!!!!!!!!!
Women In Leather
Here we are ag
ain spring is here. The bikes are out and hitting the roads. Its amazing how many women have joined the riding community. Its a good site to see boyfriend girlfriend, husband wife or just single women riding solo.
Its surprising when looking around and browsing at the shops how much leather apparel is available for the woman biker. The manufacturers have really picked up on the new market niche. There is something that is very striking and appealing to me about a woman dressed in her Womans Black Leather Jacket, chaps, riding boots, skull cap and whatever else for biker apparel she chooses. The apparel available for women is manufactured for women these days and fits and looks good on them. Ride safe and enjoy!!!!
Motorcycle Jacket Buying Guide
To the untrained eye, all motorcycle jackets probably look alike. When you are buying your jacket—whether it be men’s or ladies leather motorcycle jackets—there are some various characteristics that you should always take into consideration. First and foremost is the fit. Since you will primarily be using the jacket for riding, it is important to allow for adequate length in the sleeves and shoulders to ensure a wide range of motion.
Since one of the primary purposes of the jacket is protection, the padding is also a top priority. Look for jackets that have reinforcement over the elbows, shoulders and back, as they will provide the highest level of protection. Other facets to consider include the pockets, liners and presence of reflective material.
The Comfort Of Leather Jackets
Well the time
finally arrived for me I got permission from my doctor to take a short ride on my motorcycle. Its been 10 m0nths now and with all the good weather and warm days the itch has been overwhelming. The flood run ride was this weekend so bikes were everywhere. As always there were reports of accidents and one fatality with high wind assumed to be a factor in the crash.
It wasn’t the thrill I was expecting as my bike had been sitting since last June and had to be serviced. Well I began that task and I encountered a small problem I broke a valve stem off and can’t find a replacement. I finally found a shop open on Saturday and was able to fix the problem and install a new tire put it back on the bike and now I’m ready to ride.
I put on my Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket my leather boots my helmet and now I’m ready to ride. What a wonderful feeling! I remembered real fast why I have such a passion for riding motorcycle. My riding gear gives me a feeling of security but I also am aware of the environment I am in and adjust my riding habits accordingly. Didn’t make the flood run but was able to take a short ride and made all things ok. Ride safe and enjoy!!!
