As I have stated before leather thickness is of great concern when looking at purchasing a jacket. Other aspects have to be taken into consideration also such as how well the leather jacket is stitched and how it is stitched. If the stitches are long  uneven or show evidence of dropped stitches the quality is poor. Remember how the Ladies Biker Jacket ladies biker jacketis assembled determines how much protection it provides for you the biker.

You should check to make sure no glues or adhesives are being used in the production process. I don’t think there’s an adhesive or glue made that will survive a road impact. The size and spacing of the stitching determines the strength of the seam also whether its a single or double or even triple stitched. how protective patches are attached to the garment is also important. Look to see if the protection is attached to itself as well as the leather jacket so that it stays in place in an accident. Always remember the more stitches  the more strength it will add to the leather jacket thus the more protection.

To sum it all up look tor size and quallity of stitching whether glue or adhesive is present as this takes away from the quality of the jacket. Look for single or double stitching at stress points or areas of reinforcement or protective armour. Remember if your biker jacket falls apart in a crash your protection is gone !
